Foundation "Vis Maior"

Welcome at the Foundation
"Vis Maior" Website

The Foundation "Vis Maior" for the disabled has been working since 2002. Our help is especially directed at people losing their sight and their family and friends - children, adults, and the elderly. Our major goals are the protection of health and improvement of living conditions of the disabled, and also social integration. What is more, the Foundation offers its help to addicts and children from problem families. It also counteracts home violence.

"Vis Maior" means "Higher Force". This is the force that empowers us in our efforts into defeating everything that is impossible and seems to be unconquerable. We trust this force and draw extensively on its energy.

Thank you for visiting our website. If you want to know more or need help, this is the place for you. Feel free to send us any questions or comments.

Dear Sir/Madam!

We inform that we are collecting money for visually impaired people. Currently we are collecting funds for the blind's guide dogs' trainings. It takes about 1,5 year to train one dog and an approximate cost is 15.000 PLN.

Having such a dog enables a blind person to lead a more active and independent life because he/she gains a "pair of fit eyes".

Each payment and help will be invaluable. Thank you in advance for generosity and each act of good will.

The money can be paid into the following account:

Kredyt Bank S.A. III
10 1500 1126 1211 2009 8347 0000

See us because we will not see you!

APPEAL

Close your eyes.
Imagine that you're led by a guide dog.
Imagine that you give the dog an order: "bench".
Imagine that it leads you there, you sit and reward your guide.

Imagine that you're led by a guide dog.Imagine that you give the dog an order: "bench".
Imagine that it leads you there and suddenly it's stopped by a "well-wishing" passer-by.
The passer-by beckons or talks or strokes or looks at the dog...
And what about dog? The dog is full of emotions.
Ignoring obtrusive people is beyond strength, even for a guide dog.
And what about you? Once again instead of sitting on the bench or getting to an elevator you're knocked off your feet by the crowd.

Now open your eyes.
If you see the blind with a guide dog, turn away.
