Another meeting

Another meeting this year took place at our Foundation´s premises on 5 February. Apart from coworkers, volunteers and people under our care we also invited a special guest.

Natalia takes an active part in missions in Africa, where she helps and works with poor and AIDS-stricken children.

Zambia is one of the poorest countries in the world. And it is there that a centre for the most needy run by nuns was established. Thanks to it children have a possibility of receiving medical treatment, schooling and living a normal life.

We had an opportunity to listen to an amazing story about African people’s life, culture, habits and mentality. The stories which until then we knew only from books or films often turned out to be terrifying and real. It is hard to believe that in 21st century there are places in the world where people still live differently, have nothing to eat, cannot read, believe in magic and superstitions.

Natalia´s passion when she talked was really admirable. She patiently answered our questions and explained everything. What´s more, she is soon going back there. We wish her luck.

The star of the second part of the meeting was the host: a guide dog. The President - Jola, talked about a lawsuit which she won in court. The insiders know that she talked about an agreement negotiated between her and a big shopping centre which concerned an entrance permission to markets with a guide dog. Congratulations.

Until the next time. The meetings at the Foundation are to take place more often now.
