With Higher Force you will learn a lot

You are walking with a friend in Old Town in Warsaw. You are both in great moods, talking and laughing. A handsome foreigner comes up to you and kindly asks you about something, he probably wants to know how to get somewhere. You are trying to remember the appropriate English expressions but unfortunately you speak incoherently and unintelligibly. Embarrassing silence falls. The meeting ends when a foreigner finally gets the information from another passer-by and you walk away feeling embarrassed.

Such stores happen very often. Talking to a foreigner is a situation when we put our language skills into practice. I think that the possibility to communicate efficiently with a foreigner can be very pleasant and satisfying. The conclusion which arises is the following – one should learn foreign languages and we strongly encourage everybody to do that. With the intention of meeting our beneficiaries’ needs, ‘Vis Maior’ Foundation organizes various types of courses and trainings. They are filled on a first come first served basis.

In our Foundation’s offer we have: language courses, computer courses and other. German has been taught in ‘Vis Maior’ since 2004, English since 2006 and French since 2007, computer courses since 2006. All those classes are financed by Board of the Mazowieckie Voivodship and included in one of the biggest projects called ‘I can do a lot without sight’.

In 2009 there were English, German and French classes in ‘Vis Maior’ Foundation on all levels of proficiency. They are conducted by experienced teachers and are very popular with students. The beneficiaries praise the atmosphere and appreciate the teachers’ commitment. They prepare materials with the consideration of individual possibilities of each student. It is the same in the case of computer courses, they are tailored to individual needs.
